I need a referral for a good Lasik doctor.  Have you gone to someone you'd recommend, or do you know who to avoid?

I would recommend the Vision Clinic of Seattle.  I'm fairly certain he does Lasik there but you should call ahead to check.

I've been wearing glasses and contacts since I was 12 and this was the first doctor to actually do a good job.  He took the time and effort to find something that worked for me.  One of those people that wants to do a good job.  So you could at least get an excellent exam here and move on to a clinic with a good recommended surgeon.   Dr. Greg Chin is a credit to his industry.

avoid TLC lasik eye center whenever possible. stay as far as you can. i filed a formal complaint... long story but i was those rare ones whom anesthetic doesn't work and i was hurt as well. find a doctor who CARES! ask your optometrist for opinion, as they'll recommend you to good ones (those who don't need to advertise and hard sell)

Dr. Gilbert in Bellevue is the best eye surgeon in our area, bar none. He helped develop the lasers used in eye surgery and continues to be involved in their evolution.

I went to Luna Eye Care in Bellevue.  I had an ok experience, but my friend didn't care for them at all.

^^ a juicy link.  I'd check it out.

What's LASEK, you ask?

The doctors who worked with me were a pair of super through ninjas.  I couldn't have been happier with how things went down.. except the healing part was pretty annoying, but I got LASEK instead of LASIK.  That's how it works.  No detaching corneas for me!

CLEARLY LASIK has the most experienced group of laser eye surgeons in the Northwest by far.    They have offices near Seattle, Portland, Vancouver, Victoria, Boise, Kennewick and Medford.

They use only the very best technology including the INTRALASE and wavefront guided lasers.

If you are going to have LASIK, don't look for a bargain.  You have only one set of eyes and it makes sense to go to the most experienced practice you can find.
