The room where the stage is has got to be the worst arrangement for experiencing live music. Especially shoe-tappin' jazz like the acts I've seen here. It's a shotgun room, you walk in and the band is packed up against the right wall. You can only see them from the side, on both sides. It's awful. And again with the lack of ventilation in these clubs. It's ridiculous. You could be naked, not move an inch, and you'd be sweatin' like you're in the Funky Door Yoga or something. And it would seriously be funky.

The room is EXTREMELY SMALL...but don't forget about the dining room! The new chef has brought new tasties to this formerly horrendous supper club eats! Affordable and scrumptous, and after a bottle of vino with dinner, the room with the tunes doesn't seem to bother quite as badly!

I love the tight space, so intimate, reminds me of a speak-easy. I've seen a guy named Etienne de Rocher there, and can't think of a better venue to capture his performances. But, I agree, it is not for getting down and dirty, more more for seeing a hot show. And drinking too.
