Have a friend in town from Boston who has been to SF before. Anything of interest going on?

If your friend hasn't been to SF before, you should take her to SFMoMA or the Asian Art Museum. For dinner, something unique like Foreign Cinema or maybe Zuni for brunch? Of course a trip to the wine country is exciting too. KRS-One is at Red Devil Lounge!

i always think it's fun to take fresh-off-the-plane-ers to some classic SF institutions like lush lounge on polk street, Asia SF, Martuni's or the Stud...grab a drink at one of these places to get your night started off in propah SF style

There is some artist installation at Ocean Beach. He is creating it before high tide then it will be washed away by the wave as high tide approaches.

Yeah, on Sunday, this artist Jim Denevan is creating one of his large-scale beach drawings live on Ocean Beach, near the Cliff House. Sunday March 6th, 10am-4pm.

In general, you can sign up for the flavorpill weekly goings-on report:

If you like theater but have a short attention span, there's the BOA (Bay Area one-act) festival:

Or for the 100% completely random activity, my friends are playing a house party on Friday round 8pm -- 2153 48th Ave (between Rivera
and Quintara).

A bunch of wineries up north are doing a barrel tasting. Even if you know nothing about wine, it's a great excuse to go up and drink early wine that will sting your eyes, and tear the enamel off your teeth. And it's only five bucks to boot.
